Breeding and raising Intelligent and Beautiful Bichon Frise dogs is our love and our passion.

The color does not really matter to me. All of our pups receive just the best health care, love and really do get so much attention. Actually, we see all our Bichon Frise dogs as part of our family hence treat them as such. With our discounts you can get a Bichon Frise pup at a fair price.

In our home, we use our dogs to teach our kids about responsibility. As our pups grow, each of them are assigned under the care of our kids. WHY CHOOSE THE BICHON FRISE BREED

Highly Sensitive Temperament.

The Bichon Frise is a very loyal and affectionate breed. They are highly sensitive to unknown environments and stern reprimand. They always seek your affection and while other dogs can tolerate a loud tone or a chaotic household.

Low Tolerance for being left alone.

Although it isn’t healthy to leave any dog alone for too long, the Bichon Frise is especially sensitive to being left alone for long hours and will develop separation anxiety that can leave to other behavioral issues like chewing on their bedding or other household items, barking, whining, and more.

Family friendly Dog.

Bichon Frises are very loyal and affectionate towards family and love to bond with their owners. This derives from the poodle being bred to work with their owners as water dogs and the Maltese being bred to be a lap dog companion.

They do very well with tolerating small children and babies, but because of their small size, it’s important to teach children how to properly handle and be soft with the Bichon Frise.

Does not have a “Prey” drive.

Bichon Frises are very curious dogs but they do not have an aggressive or prey drive. They’re most comfortable making friends with new dogs or people and are mostly bred to be a loyal companion/lap dog.

Good for apartment or small living environments.

The Bichon Frises are very adaptable in small living environments like apartments due to their small size. Although they need their daily exercise, Bichon Frises are relatively low energy compared to other toy-sized breeds.

Good for first-time dog owners.

Because of the easy well-mannered nature of the Bichon Frise, they can be a perfect option for first-time dog owners. Although, you will need to practice plenty of patience during house training as a puppy, as with any dog. Once you spend this time and build a bond with them, they will be your most loyal friend for life.

Dog and other pets Friendly.

Bichon Frises are excellent pack mates and can do very well with other dogs. They do not have a dominant temperament and their nature is to roll around and play rather than fight. With proper socialization early on in your Bichon Frises life, they will grow up to be every other dogs best and caring friend.

Easy to train and Intelligent.

Bichon Frises love spending time with their owners and develop quick associations with obedience training commands due to their yearning for positive reinforcement.
Bichon Frises are very intelligent due to their poodle ancestry being in the top two smartest breeds. They catch onto things very quickly and crave your affection making them very easy to train.

ABOUT US

OUR STORY

Bichon Frise for sale

The Grange Bichons is owned and run by myself, with the help of my wife Jen and our two daughters. I have over 16 years experience with breeding dogs, having helped out with my parents Maltese breeding business.. I spent the majority of my teenage years helping them out at the weekends and during school holidays, helping to care for puppies and looking after the adult dogs, cleaning kennels and walking the dogs.

During that time, I decided that I would like to breed my own dogs, and took a liking to Bichon Frise for their loyalty and intelligence. After I turned 21, my dad got me my first girl: Sarabi. She is the reason I love the breed and have such a passion for them. I hadn’t had her very long before we became inseparable, she was glued to my leg wherever I went. I spent every free moment with her after mucking out the kennels and, in return, she gave me unconditional love and loyalty. I knew that this was the breed I wanted to devote my time to. I wanted to give everyone a chance to get the love and bond that I have with Sarabi, with their own puppies! I started to build up my breeding kennel with dogs to run on as brood bitches and eventually, in January 2007, I bought my own stud dog – Boris!

Jen and I met in June 2011 at a football match.
We moved into our first house together in November 2015 after we got married!

Jen works as an architectural draughtswoman during the week, and she helps me out with the dogs when she’s not at work. Every weekend and any days that she has booked as holiday, she comes to spend the day outside working with me and helping out with the dogs! Cleaning out the kennels/runs, refilling the dogs food and water bowls/buckets, walking the dogs and spending time socializing the puppies – it is all is a big change from her office based job but she really enjoys being outside with us!

Jen grew up with a Poodle called Bruno and was adamant that Poodles were her favorite dogs… until Rogue a female Bichon Frise was born. Rogue became obsessed with Jen and absolutely adored her, she followed her everywhere and couldn’t get enough of her. Seeing how she was with Jen reminded me a lot of how Sarabi is with me! She really changed Jen’s mind and it’s safe to say that she is now just as obsessed with Bichon Frises as I am. She also helps in getting our puppies AKC registered.

I am always trying to learn new things about the dogs, I really enjoy looking into genetics and how they play a massive part in breeding. I love learning about the colours, how they occur, how to improve on certain aspects of breeding, I’m happiest when learning about anything dog related! Most of my evenings are spent looking into dogs backgrounds, learning about dogs health, researching pedigrees, speaking to other breeders, trying to learn as much as I possibly can about this amazing breed!

I breed to produce dogs with amazing temperaments, excellent health test results and some beautiful colours to make the perfect family pets! Any dogs that I decide to buy in are from carefully selected lines, I spend a lot of time looking into those bloodlines to ensure that I am only breeding good quality, beautiful and healthy dogs. I spend every day with my dogs and any puppies I may have, making sure they’re all well looked after, healthy and, most importantly, happy! The whole day revolves around the dogs, from when we get up in the morning to when we go to bed – and we really wouldn’t have it any other way!

I have done several courses so far to help boost my knowledge for dogs and breeding! In January 2017, I did an online Pet Psychology diploma and Canine Communication diploma. In October 2017, I passed my training course for microchipping so that I can now microchip our puppies from home. After doing this, I decided I wanted to do more! So I looked online for months for a canine ultrasound scanning course. I wanted to be able to scan my girls and confirm their pregnancies from home, limiting the stress put on them. Many dogs don’t like going to the vets, so I wanted to be able to keep them in an environment they know and are comfortable, this will help eliminate the stress and I know they are happy. I wanted to be able to watch the puppies growing through the different stages in pregnancy and monitor them closely from home, so I decided to go ahead with the next course and by the grace of God completed the course successfully!
Making us your new furbaby breeder will be the best that could happen to you. The good news is that we have available Bichon Frise for sale now. Click the button below and choose your new family member.

ABOUT THE BICHON FRISE BREED

ORIGIN/HISTORY
The Bichon family is a group of white breeds found originally in the Mediterranean Countries. The word Bichon means white dog and the Bichon breeds are predominately white with the exception of the Havanese which can be found in a wide variety of colors. The word ‘frise’ describes the soft corkscrew curls of the coat. Although the Standard suggests that the coat on feet and muzzle may be tidied up, the presentation of the Bichon for the show ring has become much more stylised.

Although France was the country of development for the breed, the Bichon Frise is thought to have existed on the island of Tenerife as far back as the 14th century and was taken to mainland Europe by traders where he gained popularity, especially in the Royal Courts and in the homes of nobility, where he was often pampered and carried around in an ornamental basket.

We think we have a real winner with Ken our little prince. My husband's sister knows a lot about dogs as she used to raise and run sled dogs and she is very impressed with Ken's temperament and personality. I am so happy that I spent so much time and effort to find the right breeder and the right puppy. Thank you for bringing her into our lives.
